With severe and persistent mental illness, time matters.
ASCENT uniquely supports young people, typically in their late teens or early adulthood, experiencing psychosis for the first time. This model emphasizes early intervention and personalized and holistic support, thereby reducing symptoms, improving functioning, and preventing further episodes and hospitalizations.
As a community-focused team, we serve clients in the environment where they’re most comfortable through psychiatric care and psychotherapy, medication and case management, and peer support. A vital component of the program is family involvement, ensuring that loved ones are educated about the condition and remain involved in the recovery. Practical assistance like housing, education, and vocational support are also offered to address some of our client’s broader challenges. We help clients regain stability, build resilience, and lead fulfilling lives despite the challenges of psychosis.
The ASCENT approach fosters recovery, empowers clients, and mitigates the social and emotional impact of psychosis on both individuals and their families. Our team mantra is to assist our clients in living their best lives.
