Expanding Hope: AllHealth Network’s Commitment to Enhanced Outpatient Treatment for Vulnerable Communities
In response to increasing community needs, AllHealth Network is pleased to announce significant expansion of our capacity to provide outpatient treatment options for some of the most vulnerable but underserved members of our community. The expanded programs are specifically designed to treat individuals suffering from complex psychiatric conditions such as schizophrenia, schizoaffective or bipolar disorder combined with substance misuse. All too often, this population is underserved and poorly managed by the health care and human service community. Rather than getting the ongoing support and treatment they need, the well-being of these individuals often declines over time resulting in homelessness, avoidable incarceration as well as premature death.
In recent years, AllHealth Network has observed growing demand for both treatment and employment support for these individuals. By offering state-of-the-art, evidence-based treatment and employment services at our location in Littleton, we will help clients manage their symptoms, establish greater stability in their lives, and find meaning, purpose, and connection. Growth of our Ascent program will help individuals experiencing their first episode of psychosis to better understand and manage their condition while reducing long-term impacts. The growth of our Assertive Community Treatment (ACT) and Forensic Assertive Community Treatment (FACT) programs, will help individuals with chronic major psychiatric illnesses, with and without legal involvement, achieve higher functioning and greater independence in the community. Jen Bock, Chief Clinical Officer, reports that ACT program outcomes show that 82% of individuals are no longer unhoused and 93% of clients who are seeking employment are working. Overall jail and hospital days also have decreased for those connected to these teams. In total, AllHealth Network has created funding to hire 40 new staff to provide both clinical and administrative services. Providers include psychiatrists, licensed therapists, peer support personnel, clinical supervisors, case managers, and financial case managers.
