Program Profile: Harmony Recovery

Shane Hudson became CEO of Harmony Recovery in February 2024.

Founded in 1969, Harmony Recovery has been a pioneer in addressing addiction with a holistic approach that integrates medical, clinical, social, and spiritual care. For over five decades, Harmony has guided individuals on their journey to recovery, offering compassionate and innovative treatment tailored to diverse needs.

This year, AllHealth Network completed a merger with Harmony, enhancing our ability to provide a broader range of services and improving care pathways, especially for those transitioning from medical to addiction treatment settings.

In February 2024, Shane Hudson took the helm as CEO, bringing over 17 years of behavioral healthcare experience, including six years leading a non-profit addiction center. Reflecting on his role, Shane stated, “I’m honored to lead an organization with such a strong legacy of innovation in addiction treatment. This strategic partnership with AllHealth will help improve outcomes for those in recovery.”

Harmony also joined the Colorado Hospital Association to create patient care pathways for those transitioning from medical settings and needing our services. While maintaining its foundation in 12-step treatment, Harmony has expanded its programming to meet evolving needs, now offering:

  • Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
  • Trauma and Co-occurring Disorder Groups
  • Enhanced Family and Spiritual Programming

These additions align with Harmony’s dedication to addressing the unique challenges faced by individuals with substance use disorders (SUD), which affect 17% of Americans aged 12 and older, even as only 10% seek treatment.

Barriers such as stigma, limited access, lack of awareness, fear of consequences, co-occurring mental health issues, and misinformation prevent many from seeking care. Addressing these barriers requires a multi-pronged approach. Harmony Recovery, supported by AllHealth Network, remains steadfast in its commitment to improving access to care, reducing stigma, and countering these barriers.

“We’re excited for the future and confident that, together, we can make a lasting difference in the lives of those we serve,” says Hudson.

With its long-standing legacy and renewed focus through this partnership, Harmony Recovery is a beacon of hope for those navigating addiction challenges.
