Have You Met?: Donor Highlight

Mike Williams is passionate about raising awareness for mental health and has joined the AllHealth Network board of directors to do just that.

“Mental Health continues to impact families on a daily basis.  We are all in this thing we call life together and I want to do my part to help where I can,” says Williams who is president of Colorado Credit Union. “Mental health and substance use are areas that I’m really passionate about and want to give back.”

Being in recovery himself, the native of Sterling, Colorado, who grew up in a loving family, has seen first-hand the pain and despair that come with substance use and mental health issues.

“Conversely, I see the amazing success stories that come with people seeking help and getting well, and the difference it makes to families and the communities they live in,” he says. “The positive I see in mental health is the increased awareness that has enabled many more people to seek and receive treatment and the removal of the negative perceptions that come with people seeking help.”

A University of Northern Colorado graduate, Williams draws his inspiration from helping others and watching them succeed. His hero is his father.

“My dad taught me the value of hard work, integrity and being of service,” says Williams.
